If a student has been previously removed and does not belong to any class, their data still exists in the system and is linked to their unique ID. If this unique ID is reused with another student, then the new student name will override the existing student name, but the previous student's data will be retained. For example:
If the following student was removed from this class and did not appear in any other:
Year
Year level
Class
First name
Last name
Student ID
Text level
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2014
1
1M
Andrew
Smith
ABC123
2
And then this student was uploaded using the same Student ID:
Year
Year level
Class
First name
Last name
Student ID
Text level
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2014
3
3A
Lisa
Lee
ABC123
15
Then student Lisa Lee would retain Andrew Smith's data (i.e. class 1M, text level 2).
In order to find out a student’s unique ID, export the member list containing the student.
