MoE's "Making it Count" programme
If you are a teacher at a school who has adopted any phase from 1-3 through the Ministry of Education's "Making it Count" programme, your school admin will most likely already have arranged your account and classes with our Customer Service team. Ask them to forward your login details if you do not have them already.
If you are a school admin looking to adopt Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Years 0-8 through the Ministry of Education, please consult them directly for instructions on how to do so. Once the MoE has confirmed your school with us, we will assist you with onboarding your teachers and students.
If you cannot log in to Oxford Digital, or believe your login details may not have been included in your school's initial onboard, contact Customer Service for support.
Independent schools
If you are an admin looking to adopt Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Years 0-8 as an independent school, please contact Customer Service for a quote and assistance with onboarding.
Individuals and organisations
Oxford Digital for Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Years 0-8 is a school/institution-based licence and designed specifically for classroom use. As such, while you are able to request a print order of any books in phases 1 to 3 as an individual and/or organisation, you will not be able to access Oxford Digital with this purchase. This means that Year 0, which is non-print and digital-exclusive, is not available to individuals. We also advise that answer resources and other learning and teaching support materials available on Oxford Digital cannot be supplied to individual purchasers under any circumstances.
Please be aware that print books are still retailed at the price inclusive of the digital dashboard and shipping costs will vary depending on the quantity ordered and the area of delivery.
For any questions about the terms of sale for individuals and organisations — or to request a quote — please contact Customer Service.

Instructions for this can be found in the How to edit the product associated with a class article in our Help Centre.
School admins can create classes on behalf of other teachers on their staff, or teachers can create their own classes. For instructions on how to do this, please see How do I create classes and add students? in our Help Centre.
Alternatively, you can request assistance from Customer Service to help you upload class details.

'Course' refers to the digital format of your student workbook. Oxford Digital gives you access to the complete content of your student workbook in a reflowable, accessible digital eReader that includes note-taking and read-aloud functionality, meaning your students can adapt how it presents on their devices to best suit their individual learning preferences. The content is presented as sequential coursework with embedded links to online activities and interactive fields where students can provide handwritten responses.
You will first be presented with the table of contents, which is available as a pop-out dropdown menu, allowing you to easily navigate to a specific area of study within the course.

Assigning Resources
Part of what makes Oxford Digital a powerful tool for teachers is the ability to assign resources and assessments to students. This can be done as a class, ensuring that all students are kept accountable in completing their work, or teachers can assign resources to individual students on a case-by-case basis.
Teachers can trigger the resource assignment process three ways:
- From the 'Assign' button in the Resources library
- From a specific resource within the library
- From a resource embedded in the Course
The procedure will prompt you for actions every step of the way, but for detailed instructions, please visit How to Create Assignments for Students in our Help Centre.
Fig. 35: Step 4 of resource assignment process
Bear in mind that when assigning resources from an embedded link, any resources that are not intended for student use (Teacher-only resources) will not have 'Assign' listed as an option when resource options are expanded.
Fig. 36: the expanded options for a variety of resources, demonstrating how they may differ depending on the resource type
Once a resource has been set for a student or class members, you can view the assignment in 'Assigned work'.
Assigned Work
Once assignments are created, they will be stored in 'Assigned work'.
Because the digital asset (e.g. Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Year 1) is the means with which you will view assignments (and reports) for all yours classes, this dashboard is designed to be filtered according to the class, student/s and dates you wish to view.
To get started using the dashboard, you will be prompted to select a class.
Fig. 37: The Assigned work dashboard with no class selected
Go to 'Class' and select the class you wish to view assignments for.
Fig. 38: Class drop-down menu with the class named '2025 NZ Maths Dashboard' outlined
Once the class has been selected, all assignments for that class will appear. You can then filter to find your assignment based on a particular student, status (whether it has been completed or is active) and/or the date it is due by clicking a date on the calendar.

Viewing Assignment Details
Viewing the 'NZ Maths Dashboard' class, we can see they have two active assignments. Each assignment shows an overview including how many students have completed it so far, the dates it has been set for and the date it was created. If we click 'Show' on one of them, we can view its details.

Reports
The Reports dashboard is a dynamic tool that allows teachers to track, manage and record students' results in pre/post-tests and custom tests. This will give you both an overall impression of their understanding of the curriculum, and will allow you to look at their results in detail so you can create a targeted approach to assist their learning.
Fig. 48: The 'Reports' dashboard when first opened
When you first open the dashboard, you will need to select a class to begin. Go to the dropdown menu and click on the class you want to view.
Fig. 49: Class selection drop-down menu
The dashboard will then update and present an overview of student results organised into units.
Dashboard overview

Pre/post-tests
Student pre and post-test results are used to measure progression through the course work and provide an overview of their success at an individual and class level. The results from these tests comprise the majority of data displayed on the Reports dashboard.
Students can elect to complete pre and post tests independently, or you can assign a test to them. Regardless, results will be captured for review in the Reports dashboard.
To set a pre/post test for your students, create an assignment and select the relevant test.
Should you need to at any point, these tests can be reset and their results can be edited to reflect student outcomes as you see fit.
Full details about pre and post tests are available in out Help Centre:
Oxford Digital level guide
In the Reports dashboard, results from pre and post tests can be distilled into three groups and colour coded according to their percentage:
- A = Above level (green) – 70 to 100%
- O = On level (yellow) – 40 to 69%
- B = Below level (pink) – 0 to 39%
At a glance, pre-tests are only given a letter grade per the above guide, but results can be expanded to show details of their grading.
Post-tests are given a percentage grade and can also be expanded to show details of their grading.
Fig. 51: Comparison of pre and post-test results in the reports dashboard
The Reports dashboard allows you to view your students grouped by their results from each pre and post-test so you can more easily determine your next steps of targeted teaching.
You can also print this list.
Fig. 52: Student groups based on levels, determined by pre/post-test results
For more information, see How to View Students Grouped by Level (Above, On or Below) in Reports in our Help Centre.
Custom tests
To assist you in gaining a more comprehensive view of your students' progression and understanding of the curriculum, your Oxford Digital licence has the capacity to store results from paper tests and other assessments you may set for your students which are not completed and auto-recorded on the digital platform. These results may come from resources in your Oxford Digital library, like BLMs and interactive activities, or they may come from resources you have chosen to incorporate in your lesson plan from a third party.
To store extra results, you can create a Custom Test for your class.
Fig. 53: A sample of how custom tests are stored and displayed
For instructions on how to create custom tests, visit How to Create and Manage Custom Tests in our Help Centre.
You will be able to view these results both within the Oxford Digital platform and by exporting class and student result data to CSV. For instructions on how to export reports to CSV, visit How to Export Student Results to CSV in our Help Centre.
Grading Guide
A Grading Guide is available with your Oxford Digital teacher subscription to assist you in applying pre/post-test marks to your school's default grading system; search for 'grading guide' in the resource library.
