Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Years 0-8
Introduction
Student pre and post-test results are used to measure progression through the course work and provide an overview of their success at an individual and class level.
Should you need to at any point, these tests can be reset and their results can be edited to reflect student outcomes as you see fit.
All instructions are applicable to both pre and post tests.

Important:
- The pre and post tests on Oxford Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand are designed to be completed online by students, and due to the style of questions (drag and drop, etc.) they are unable to be printed.
- A Grading Guide is available with your Oxford Digital teacher subscription to assist you in applying pre/post-test marks to your school's default grading system; search for 'grading guide' in the Resources library.
Overview of dashboard
Test results are presented in your reports dashboard, located on your sidebar menu.
When you first open the dashboard, you will need to select a class to begin. Go to the dropdown menu and click on the class you want to view.
The dashboard will then update and present an overview of student results organised into units. See below for a basic overview of the dashboard.
Resetting pre and post-tests
To reset a test, begin by clicking 'View' on the unit the pre/post-test belongs to.
The pre and post-tests for all topics in the unit will be presented in column on the dashboard.
In this scenario, there is only one topic for the unit.
Resetting an individual student test
To reset the test for one student, click on the student's score.
This will open a smaller window containing all the details associated with the test, including:
- The content of all questions in the test
- The date it was submitted
- How long it took the student to complete
- The result as a percentage and a score out of the total marks available
- An overview of answers, including indications where answers have been edited
Go to the section indicating the test results and click Reset.
A warning will appear. Click 'Yes, reset'.
Please be advised that this is a permanent action and data cannot be recovered once complete.
Resetting all tests for a class
From the unit view of all pre and post-tests, click the three dots in the test header. From the expanded menu, click 'Enter reset mode'.
Reset mode will allow you to select specific students to reset the test for, or reset in bulk.
To reset the whole class, click 'Reset all students'.
A warning will appear. Click 'Yes, reset'.
Please be advised that this is a permanent action and data cannot be recovered once complete.
Click 'Exit reset mode'.
Editing pre and post-test results
Should you need to change a student's test result, you can edit it manually.
Note: this can only be done individually and will not change the student's original answer.
Start by clicking the student's score in the unit pre/post-test overview.
Click 'Edit results'.
From this view, you can open each question in the quiz, manually change the score of the student and add comments for your own personal notes.
Note: while you can override the student's score, you cannot change their original answer.
Once you have made the necessary changes, click 'Save'. Then 'Close'.
