Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Years 0-8
Introduction
To assist you in gaining a more comprehensive view of your students' progression and understanding of the curriculum, your Oxford Digital licence has the capacity to store results from paper tests and other assessments you may set for your students which are not completed and auto-recorded on the digital platform. These results may come from resources in your Oxford Digital library, like BLMs and interactive activities, or they may come from resources you have chosen to incorporate in your lesson plan from a third party.
To store extra results, you can create a Custom Test for your class. You will be able to view these results both within the Oxford Digital platform and by exporting class and student result data to CSV.

Important:
- The highest level at which student result data can be exported is class-level.
- School-level export is not an available function at this stage of development.
- For information and instructions on exporting result data from the Reports dashboard, see How to Export Student Results to CSV in our Help Centre.
- A Grading Guide is available with your Oxford Digital teacher subscription to assist you in transposing marks between our marking system and your school's default marking system; search for 'grading guide' in the Resources library.
Navigating to custom tests
Begin by opening Reports from your selected year level of Mathematics and Statistics for Aotearoa New Zealand Years 0-8 (e.g. Year 1) and selecting your class.
With the dashboard now open to the unit overview of the class reports, use the arrow on the right of the screen to navigate to the end of all available units.
At the end, you will see a column titled Custom Tests.
If you have neve made a custom test, this area will be blank except for a note that says, 'You can add your own custom tests', complete with a clickable 'plus' icon.
Once you have made one or more custom tests, they will be listed in short hand on the Reports dashboard.
Creating new custom tests
Click the 'plus' icon beneath the text 'You can add your own custom tests'.
This will open a pop-out window titled 'Add custom test'.
Fill out the form as you see fit and select your preferred grading scheme from the following:
- Letter grade (A-F)
- Percentage (0-100%)
- Numerical mark
- Free text
Your custom test will now look similar to the below.
Click 'Create'.
Your custom test will now be listed in shorthand (highlighted).
To add student results, click 'View' (outlined above).
In the Custom Test view, newly added tests will have an Edit icon in place of a grade.
To add grades, click the Edit icon for a student who participated in the test/activity.
This area will become a text field with a cursor.
Manually type their grade. Then Enter and repeat the process down the list where applicable.
These results have now been stored and will be available when generating a CSV report.
Note: data will not be saved if the grade type does not match the grading scheme that was specified when creating the test. If you would like to change the grading scheme, see the next section on editing custom test details.
Editing custom tests and results
Custom tests and results are editable once they have been submitted.
Test details
To edit the details and conditions of a custom test, click Edit.
A pop-out window will appear titled 'Edit custom test'.
Make any changes to the Assessment title, Short title, Grading scheme and Notes as necessary.

Results
To edit or remove a student's result from a custom test, click on their currently saved grade, which will appear dynamic when your cursor hovers over it.
This area will become a text field with a cursor for you to edit or delete the current entry.
Once you have typed the new grade, Enter on your keyboard. The new grade will be saved to the custom test.
If you choose to clear/delete the current grade from a student, their grade will revert back to an Edit icon and their result will no longer be available when you generate a CSV report.
Deleting custom tests
To delete a custom test, click Edit.
A pop-out window will appear titled 'Edit custom test'.
Click 'Delete'.
The custom test will be removed from the Custom Test view.
Note: there will be no warning text before completing the deletion, so be wary when editing any custom tests you do not wish to remove.
