There are two ways to assign work: while viewing the eReader and from the Resources tab.
From the eReader
Open the eReader and navigate to the chapter you would like to assign from by using the table of contents panel. Then click the Resources button at the bottom of the reader.
This will open a side panel where you can select from the resources directly related to the chapter you are viewing.
Note: you can assign chapters from the book, but only when assigning from within the eReader.
Select all the resources to be included in the assignment by clicking the check box and then 'Assign'.
Note: Any teacher-only resources will be marked as prohibited (highlighted below) and cannot be selected.
Select a start and end date. Apply.
Select the class/group and students who will be receiving the assignment. Apply.
Name the assignment (optional). Click the 'Send email notification' check box to open an email content dialogue box (optional).
Confirm and Send.
Your students will now receive an email notifying them about the assignment.
From the Resources Tab
Once in the Resource tab, you will have an overview of all the resources available relating to your title. Use the filter tools to the left of your screen to find relevant resources more quickly.
Click the 'Assign Resources' button.
Note: you cannot change the filtering options after you are in 'Assign Resources' mode.
Select the resources you would like to assign by clicking the check box. Click the 'Assign' button, or Cancel to escape.
Note: As with the eReader method, any teacher-only resources will be marked as prohibited (highlighted below) and cannot be selected.
Select a start and end date. Apply.
