How do I access the student book?
- Click the ‘Read’ button under the book cover to open the eReader. You also have the option to download an offline version by clicking the ‘download’ button next to the 'Read' button. Note: for more information about offline books visit How to access obook offline for Teachers in our Help Center
- The contents list is displayed on the left. Click on a unit in the contents lists to show topics, then click on the topic to display it. Use the search bar at the bottom of the contents list to search for a topic by name. Use the page number function in the bottom toolbar to change pages or jump to a specific page.
- Click the ‘X’ or home icon button to return to the home page.
How do I access my resources?
- To access the resources from the home page: Click the ‘Resources’ tab above the book cover.
- From the resources tab, scroll or use the filters on the left to search by topic, teaching support or resource type. Click on the resource tile to open.
- To access resources from the eReader: Navigate to desired topic in the eReader. Click the ‘Resources’ button in the bottom toolbar. The resources for the displayed topic will appear in on the left. Click on the resource tile to open.
How do I assign resources?
- Navigate to the ‘Resources’ tab then click the ‘Assign resources’ button on the top right.
- Select the resources you want to assign by checking the box under the resource tile. Then click the ‘Assign’ button in the bottom right. (The teacher only resources will be greyed out and not assignable.)
- Select the required dates, then select ‘Apply’.
- Select the class, group or specific students from the list, then select ‘Apply’.
- Confirm your selection and name your assignment before selecting ‘Confirm’.
- To view assigned work, navigate to the ‘Assigned work’ tab.

How do I complete a pre-test/post-test/practice quiz?
- Navigate to the required test/quiz then click on the tile to open.
- Click ‘Start’ to begin.
- Complete each question and use the ‘Next’ button to move on.
- When the test is complete, click the ‘Submit’ button. Pre-tests/post-tests can only be completed once. Practice quizzes can be completed repeatedly.
How do I view student pre-test/post-test/practice quiz results?
- From the home page, click on the ‘Reports’ tab above the book cover.
- Select your class using the filters on the left.
- Select the required unit. This will display the pre-test/post-test results for this unit.
- Select the topic name. This will display the pre-test/post-test results and differentiated practice quiz results for this topic.
- Use the filters on the left to highlight students by results (Above level, On level, Below level).
- Click on the students score to see their answers and more details.
How do I create a custom assessment?
- From the home page, click on the ‘Reports’ tab.
- Select your class using the filters on the left.
- Click the ‘+’ button on the left of the units list.
- Add the assessment title, grading scheme and notes. Then select ‘Create’.
- The custom assessment will appear at the end of the list. Click the ‘pen icon’ (highlighted) to edit or delete.

How do I export student results?
- From the home page, click on the ‘Reports’ tab.
- Select your class using the filters on the left.
- Click the ‘CSV’ button on the left to download the .csv file.
How do I view curriculum results?
- From the home page, click on the ‘Reports’ tab.
- Select your class using the filters on the left.
- Select the ‘Curriculum Report’ button.
- Select the strand heading to see focus areas. The select the focus area heading to see the outcome description and code. (Please note that curriculum report results are taken from the post-tests only).
How do I view the teacher notes?
- Navigate to the required topic through either the eReader or resources tab.
- Click the teacher notes tile to open the reader.
- Use the arrows on the bottom left of the toolbar to move. Use the magnifying glass in the middle of the toolbar to zoom. Use the pen tool to write, draw or highlight on the teacher notes. Save your additions with the ‘Save’ button.
- Click ‘Close’ to return to the dashboard.
