Follow the steps below in your Oxford Digital account to easily see all the key features and how to access teaching and learning materials in Oxford Maths for Victoria Years 7-10.
Accessing your product
- Login and select Oxford Maths for Victoria Year 7 from the library.
The welcome page is displayed, including navigation for:
- Teaching program and resources
- Lesson plans
- Live lessons
- Assessment reports
- Core content
- Finch AI Student Tutor
- Assigned work
- Assessment reports
Teaching Program and Resources
- Click Resources.
- Filter by Teacher resource. The Teaching Program for each Module will be displayed.
- Other teaching resources can also be accessed under this tab.
To inspect the curriculum alignment, select the Curriculum grid tile under Resources. The resource will download as a Word document.
Lesson Plans
- Click Course in the left vertical navigation menu.
- Expand the drop-down menu and click a module, e.g. Module 2 Factors and primes.
- Click on a lesson, e.g. Lesson 2.1 Number sequence.
- Click Go to lesson plan.
Live Lessons
- Click Course in the left vertical navigation menu.
- Click the drop-down menu and choose a module, e.g. Module 2 Factors and primes.
- Click a lesson e.g. Lesson 2.1 Number sequences.
- Click Go to lesson plan or Lesson plan.
- Click Start live lesson.
- Select the class. You can also Send email link to the students (in addition to an in-platform notification) to join the live lesson.
- Click Start live lesson and a new window will open in the browser. View students in the class and if they have joined.
- Click Go to live lesson to start the lesson. The live lesson is projected at the front of the class and to the students’ devices.
From here:
- Click Next to navigate through the course content in slide view.
- Click Content to navigate to specific course content.
- Click End live lesson to end the lesson.
- Click Roll call to ensure that all students have joined the lesson and remain on task.
- When a teacher ends the live lesson, they can click Add to assign related resources from the lesson, including pre-work for the next lesson.
Lessons
- Click Course in the left vertical navigation menu.
- Expand the drop-down menu to view and choose a lesson, e.g. Lesson 2.1 Number sequences.
- From here:
- Go to the lesson plan (can view as a teacher but not as a student).
- View the lesson pathway, including lesson overview, core content, exercises, resources.
Core Content
- Click Course in the left vertical navigation menu. All modules and additional course content will appear to choose from, e.g. Module 2 Factors and primes.
- Click on a lesson, e.g. Lesson 2.1 Number sequences.
- Core content can be viewed as:
- Slide view.
- Single page view.
Finch AI Student Tutor
- Click AI control.
- Or, click AI enabled for all classes on the lesson opening to view and/or change AI status.
- By default, AI is off for the teacher account and classes.
- Click Enable AI for my account to enable Finch.
- Finch will appear in context within the content.
Turning on Finch for Students
- In AI tutor controls, access class list. An indicator for each class shows if AI is On for all content, On for selected content or Off for all content.
- Finch Tutor will appear on students’ interface when enabled.
- Finch appears on exercise questions. Finch pulls only from Oxford content, ensuring the content is safe and accurate. Finch supports students by breaking down complex questions and providing helpful hints to assist with finding answers on their own.
- Students also receive words of encouragement when using Finch.
- Finch offers Related content to support students with their learning, including videos.
Assigned Work
- Click Assigned work in the left vertical navigation menu to access assigned work for a class.
- Click on the class, e.g. 2025 7 blue maths 2025. This will list the assigned work for the class and student progress, with start and due dates.
- Click Show to access assigned work.
Assessment Reports
- Click Reports in the left vertical navigation menu to access 3 types of reports:
- Assessment report.
- Curriculum report.
- Skills report (for Maths only).
- Click a report type to select, e.g. Assessment reports.
- Select a class, group or student(s) and the content area(s).
- All the completed assessments for each module appear. Choose to download as a CSV. file or drill down into each module, e.g. Module 1 Whole Numbers.
- Click View to review assessment detail.
- Click on Compare responses and a new window will open. This provides an overview of the type of assessment, including results for each question completed.
- If you click a question a new window will open to show the answers.
- Click 3 dots at the top of in-module assessment to reveal progress of groups of students.
Curriculum Reporting
- Curriculum reporting measures the progress of students/classes against the curriculum outcomes based on their assessment results. Curriculum reporting is mapped to the outcomes, e.g. curriculum outcome VC2M7N02.
